eHARVEST.com. Prior to being named President and CEO, Graham was
Farms.com Ltd's Chief Financial Officer. Graham has assisted numerous
companies in strategic development, business planning, and raising
equity financing. Graham has an extensive education and business
background with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business, a
Masters in Business Administration, is a Chartered Accountant and is a
Chartered Business Valuator. Graham sits on the Board of Directors for a
number of organizations, such as CTT Economic Development Corporation,
Guelph Partnership in Innovation, Guelph Chamber of Commerce as well as
numerous private companies. Joseph Dales | Senior Vice President and Director Joe Dales is Senior Vice President and oversees the planning, communications and implementation of the company's business strategies in conjunction with senior management. He was founder and CEO of eHARVEST.com, one of the predecessor companies to Farms.com. During his three years of leadership, the company became one of the leading agri-food B2B e-commerce players and subsequently merged with Farms.com in March, 2000. Joe has over 15 years of agri-marketing and management experience with leading companies such as Pfizer, United Agri-Products, Novartis Seeds and Cyanamid Crop Protection. He holds a Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Masters in Business Administration (Marketing and Finance) degree. Joe serves on the Board of Directors of several agriculture, food and technology companies and associations. Eric Spell | President, AgCareers With more than 15 years experience in agribusiness recruiting and employment services, Eric Spell has the proven skills to serve as President of AgCareers. Eric was most recently President/CEO of Jobhog.net, a confidential resume hosting and job posting on-line career site he founded in 2001 for agriculture, food, biotechnology, natural resources and life sciences sectors. Jobhog and AgCareers merged businesses in January 2004. Eric has a B.A. degree in business management from North Carolina State University with a concentration in labor/personnel. While employed with Murphy Farms Inc., as director of recruiting and training, Eric led efforts resulting in over 800 professionals being placed throughout the Midwest and Southeast. After working eight years at Murphy Farms, he founded Potential Solutions Inc., a company providing human resources and training services to the agribusiness sector. His recruiting strategies implemented with flagship agribusiness employers led to his vision for Jobhog. Eric's passion, knowledge and commitment to e-recruiting and online career resources, make him the ideal leader of agriculture's largest online source for jobs and employment services.
Victor Aideyan | Senior Risk Management Consultant, Farms.com Risk Management
Victor has over twelve years experience in commodity trading and marketing. He received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business, at The University of Western Ontario, London Ontario Canada and is also a Derivative Specialist. Victor leads Farms.com Risk Management, serving as Senior Risk Management Consultant. Since 2000, Victor has primarily been responsible for managing commodity marketing initiatives for Farms.com's trading arm. The company's physical commodity trade exceeded $60 million during 2006 alone. Apart from the in-house marketing risk managed by Victor's unit, Farms.com Risk Management also works with a wide range of clients across North America in swine and grain marketing. During 2006 Victor's Division provided hands-on marketing advice to external clients for corn, soybeans, wheat and swine marketing with a value in excess of $200 million. Victor is also responsible for developing specialized price protection contracts backed by derivatives traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. Victor's area of expertise encompasses marketing and price risk for pork producers as well as for producers of corn and soybeans. Victor has made numerous presentations to groups across the USA and Canada and is a sought-after speaker who possesses considerable experience when it comes to explaining and sharing his knowledge of marketing price risk and strategies for addressing this problem. Bob Brcka | General Manager, PigCHAMP
Bob Brcka has close to 30 years of marketing and managerial experience. He has a deep understanding of the agricultural industry and the unique challenges within. Bob is proactive about helping producers utilize technology and information to keep their businesses competitive and more profitable. He has a well-defined analytical ability which allows him to identify and understand problems quickly to offer suggestions for improvement. Bob's primary strengths are: managing the classical marketing mix, business process improvement, strategic planning and the application of new technology to gain efficiency. He strives to ensure that Farms.com and PigCHAMP earn an upstanding position within the market place to be recognized as a source for quality analysis that helps to keep agriculture profitable and efficient. Bob earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Iowa, and his Bachelor of Science Agricultural Journalism from Iowa State University.
Jack Tichy | Risk Management Specialist/Business Development Manager
Jack has worked for 30 years in the feed business holding various management positions with T C Products, Madison, WI, Purina, Rath Feed, Waterloo, Iowa, and Golden Sun Feeds, Estherville, Iowa. He was with Heartland Pork, a large swine production system, for just under eight years, in business development, helping to build their Grow to Finish infrastructure. Jack’s in-depth agricultural knowledge is based on experience, having been raised on a diversified farm in central Iowa. Before joining Farms.com Jack was an Area Manager for Purina, Golden Sun Feeds where he led a team of 150 employees and sales of $30 million. Jack recently joined the Risk Management Division to oversee business and sales development after having worked with Farms.com’s PigCHAMP division.
Todd Crowe | General Manager, Information and Technology
Todd Crowe is in charge of managing information and technology for Farms.com. He has over 10 years of experience with information systems and originally started with eHarvest.com. Todd was raised in an agricultural community near Niagara Falls. He holds a Master of Science degree in Plant Biotechnology and a Canadian Institute of Management business degree. Todd has held a number of technology and management positions with government and private sector organizations. Darren Marsland | Manager, AgriFood Innovations
Darren oversees the operations of AgriFood Innovations, a leading provider of information technology solutions to the global agriculture and food industry. He has gained significant experience during his ten years of successful entrepreneurial management activity in the high technology sector. Darren's expertise lies in applying appropriate technology strategies to ensure that business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) websites meet the needs of their target markets. Darren has developed strategies, database structures, and directed the programming for a variety of large and technically complex projects, including two in the Forbes Top 200 Business-to-Business Websites in the World for 2000 (www.Farms.com and www.Band-X.com). Darren holds a Business Degree in Commerce, travels extensively and is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast. JoAnn Alumbaugh | Director of Communications
JoAnn Alumbaugh has numerous credentials in agriculture and the pork industry. She was employed by Farm Progress Companies for 17 years, where she served in several professional capacities, including executive editor and editor of The Hog Producer. JoAnn received her BA degree from Eastern Michigan University, with majors in English, Speech and Dramatic Arts. She is an Honorary Iowa Master Pork Producer, an Iowa Master Farm Homemaker and received Master Writer designation from the American Agricultural Editors' Association. In 1999, she was awarded the Oscar in Agriculture. JoAnn is editor of the PigSENSE Newsletters and is also involved in marketing and communications for the Farms.com family of companies.
