Bayer InVigor ® Health hybrid Canola

Bayer CropScience announced the launch in Canada of a new hybrid canola line, InVigor® Health, which has been developed specifically for the North American specialty canola oil market. Oil can be produced from InVigor® Health hybrid canola. The oil has a high-oleic content designed to maintain stability in high-heat food processing applications. This characteristic eliminates the need for hydrogenation and the creation of trans fatty acids, which are linked to cardiovascular diseases. From the 2008 season onwards, canola growers in western Canada will have the opportunity for the first time to grow a specialty oil canola from the high-performing, market-leading InVigor® hybrids. InVigor® Health hybrids constantly delivers the highest yielding canola hybrids on the Canadian market. The oil from these new hybrids has been rigorously tested in frying applications to ensure that it meets the taste and functional needs of food companies.
