Nex 845 CL canola variety for 2008

Mycogen Seeds, Indanapolis, Ind., announced the release of a new canola variety in its 2008 lineup. The latest addition to the canola lineup--Nex 845 CL--is adapted for the mid- and long-season zones, offering good early season vigor and very good standability.

This product offers growers additional high-yield options to complement their production program. Nex 845 CL is a medium-height variety with very good yield potential and a strong disease package, with an "MR" rating for blackleg and an "R" rating for fusarium wilt.

This new Mycogen brand canola variety will protect yields with the latest advancement in trait technology and a powerful seed treatment. CLEARFIELD technology makes the Nexera canola variety tolerant to Beyond herbicide, providing growers with cost-effective, broad-spectrum grass and broadleaf weed control. Helix XTra seed-applied insecticide protects germinating seed from flea beetles and a broad spectrum of diseases, including seed rot, damping-off, seedling blight, root rot and seed-borne blackleg.
