November 22, 2006 ~ Following the tragic and sudden loss of Farms.com President Douglas Maus at the beginning of November, the Farms.com Board of Directors has re confirmed its commitment to the 2007-2010 business strategy that was developed under Doug Maus’ leadership.

“We know that we will miss Doug, but we are confident that with the foundations he laid, Farms.com and each of its business units will continue to grow and prosper,” said David Gilmour, Farms.com Chairman of the Board of the Directors. “Our greatest tribute to Doug will be to ensure the continued success of Farms.com.”

“One of Doug’s strengths was his ability to develop a strong management team,” continues David Gilmour. Doug worked closely with Farms.com Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Graham Dyer. At the time of Doug’s passing, Graham oversaw the operations for each of the business units. As CFO, Graham also worked closely with Doug on developing the Farms.com strategy for the future. As such, the Farms.com Board of Directors has appointed Graham Dyer to the role of President and CEO of Farms.com. “We are pleased that Graham has accepted this important role and are confident that he has the skills, experience and knowledge to lead the company to future success.”

Bob Fraser, Vice President Swine Business Development, will take on an increased leadership role in areas related to the swine sector, and Joe Dales, Senior Vice President, will assume greater roles with regard to strategy implementation.

Graham Dyer has broad business and consulting experience in the financial, new economy, food and agricultural sectors and was part of the founding management team of eHARVEST.com (now Farms.com). Graham has an extensive education and business background with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business, a Masters in Business Administration, is a Chartered Accountant and is a Chartered Business Valuator. Graham sits on the Board of Directors for a number of volunteer organizations, such as Guelph Partnership in Innovation and Guelph Chamber of Commerce, as well as private companies.
